Hand-painted dog portraits full of character and warmth

I'm an artist working primarily in gouache and watercolour. I've always felt drawn to animals and the natural world, with a particular love for dogs and cats.

I've been drawing from life from a young age, and that way of working continues to shape how I see and paint. I'm interested in really observing — noticing the small details, the shifts in expression — and trying to bring a sense of life, movement, and freshness into each piece. Much of my work is about capturing something of the subject's character, rather than simply copying a photograph.

I graduated in 2010 with a first in Illustration and Animation. During that time, I focused on organic form and hand-drawn processes, including creating over 1000 individual drawings for my final animation — an experience that still influences the way I work today.

I now live in Norwich, UK, with my partner, one dog, and two cats, who are a constant source of inspiration (and very patient muses).
